AFL Week #4 / Winter League update

AFL_LogoThe Peoria Saguaros played their fourth week of fall league ball and improved their record to 7-14 with a 3 game win streak in the middle of the week, scoring 35 runs during those games.

Utilityman Andy Parrino played in all but one game during the week, rotating his time between 3B and SS on the field. His 13/23 (.565 avg) with 8 runs scored, 3 2B, 3 RBI elevated his overall average to .432 for third best in the league and best on the team. Catcher Luis Martinez played in 4 games and brought his overall average up to .414 but does not rank in the league because he does not have enough plate appearances.

Starting pitcher Erik Davis had 2 starts with one no decision and one loss to put him at 0-3 and a 9.28 ERA. He allowed 10 hits and 7 runs in his last performance. The relief pitching has also not gone too well for the Padres representatives. Alexis Lara has improved his ERA to 19.06 but in inconsistent fashion. Brad Brach and Colt Hynes both had inconsistent results, with Brach blowing a lead and absorbing a loss to give him a 1.93 ERA.
