After Blowing Leads In First Two Contests, Padres Bullpen Hangs On To Even Series Against Mets 

The first two games of the series saw some surprising firsts by both teams. The Padres bullpen gave up a two-run lead after the eighth in consecutive games for the first time since 1995. Not to be outdone, the Metropolitans of New York overcame a two run lead after the eighth inning in consecutive games for the first time since 1965.

But the Padres bullpen righted itself, holding on to win the next two to earn the series split. Below is a game-by-game recap of the series against the Mets in Queens, New York.
