Kyle Blanks Having Season Ending Surgery 

blanks1The 2012 season is done for Kyle Blanks.  Dan Hayes of nctimes.com tweets “Kyle Blanks to have season ending labrum surgery.

Over the span on four seasons Kyle has dealt with numerous injurious.  Since being called up in 2009 as a 22-year old Kyle has played in only 146 games. 

Tom Krasovic tweets “Two seasons ago, Blanks was #Padres cleanup man Opening Day. Since then, hittting slumps, Tommy John surgery and now labrum surgery.”

Blanks affectionately referred to by fans as the 88-train, seems to have been derailed once again.
