Carlos Quentin out 4-6 Weeks with Knee Surgery
Per Dan Hayes of the North County Times twitter account, Carlos Quentin could be out 4-6 weeks.
#Padres OF Carlos Quentin will have arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday and is out 4-6 weeks.
Quentin was the biggest acquisition of the off-season and was expected to have a big presence in the middle of the order. This will likely open the door for a competition between Jesus Guzman, Kyle Blanks, and James Darnell.
Dan Hayes also tweeted: Carlos Quentin’s knee bothered him since early in spring. #Padres want to “knock it out.” Bud Black said it could be as little as 3 weeks.
