SUNDAY FUNDAY: The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers conclude their three-game series today at PETCO Park…San Diego is 1-3 on the eight-game homestand…Saturday, SD dropped the completion of Friday’s suspended game 4-2 in 11 innings and then fell 4-0 in the regularly-scheduled contest…the Padres began the season by winning two of three at St. Louis and splitting a two-game series at home vs. San Francisco…this homestand continues Monday with the start of a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds…San Diego’s next road trip features a four-game series at Houston and three games at Chicago’s Wrigley Field (4/14-20). NO REST FOR WEARY: The Padres’ 20-game stretch, which began Friday, is their longest this season and one of two San Diego is scheduled to play this year (also, 5/27-615)…San Diego had three off days over the first eight days of the season. NICKELODEON: Padres catcher Nick Hundley ranks second in the Majors with a .435 batting average (10-for-23)…he has hit safely in each of his first six games, while collecting two runs, two doubles, one triple, one home runs and five RBI…his six-game hitting streak is tied for the fifth-longest in the National League…Hundley has a career April batting average of .294 (37-for-126), his best mark for any month…his second-best clip is a .280 mark (51-for-182) for September.
