Padres Kids Batting Helmet

Some of the best Padres give aways are for kids only.  This was one of the most popular gifts offered last season, the kids brown batting helmet.  Make no mistake, this is not the helmet you buy filled with ice cream.  This helmet is full size and by the looks of it, is able to fit up to a size 8 head.  (This helmet should not be used as actually safety equipment)

 Here is how to enter

1.  Register on the site

2.  Vote in the poll to the left (Who should bat #2 on opening day)

3.  Leave your vote in the comments section of this page

All users that leave comments will be entered into a random drawing to determine the winner.

Spread the word on facebook and twitter and any where you get your Padres info.

Make sure you follow us on www.twitter.com/friarhood

www.facebook.com/thefriarhood

The contest will run until 2/21 at midnight.  Get entered, register on the site and stay tuned for future contests!

Winner will be notified by email and will be responsible for any shipping charges that may apply.  Local residents are able to pick up the product at a determined location.

It only makes sense that Eck should be bat 2nd. He plays 2nd base, he wears #22.

C'mon Man!

Eck is the obvious choice...

For his bat control, Eckstein for sure. If T. Gwynn Jr. made contact like his old man, I'd go that way... but how many guys can pull that off?

Hairston in CF gives more pop and protection for Agon and Blanks

I'm with the HBP machine. Eck all the way. Gwynn 8th.

I know that I'm going against the majority, but I think either Gwynn or S. Hairston should have the 2 spot (On opening day we are most likely facing a righty so I voted for Gwynn). Both are faster than Eck and both hit for a higher average and OBP. Plus when S. Hairston is in vs. left handed pitching he would provide more power around Adrian. Blanks should bat cleanup, then Headley or Venable 5th whomever earns it. Catcher 7th, Eck 8th. We have a good lineup this year.

My vote is for Jr. I hate the idea of Eck batting 2nd even though that will likely be the case. Get some more speed at the top!

Tony! Eck should lead off because his obp will be way higher than tony and Scotty should either hit in the 3 or the 5 hole...

In the beginning, Eck should be #2. Hopefully, if TG Jr. can get hot, he should hit #2, with Cabrera leading off and Eck hitting 8th.
