1. Best Pitcher = Heath Bell (sad that he might be leaving)
2. Best Hitter = Guzman (who woulda thought?)
3. Favorite New Face = Maybin (thank the Friars and/or gods that he wasn't a bust)
4. Best Rookie = Luebke (wondering what influence he'll have in 2012)

2. Jesus Guzman. Forced into a starting roll by default, Guzman led the team in RBIs and hit over .300 at Petco National Park.
3. Cam Maybin. Daddy Long Legs brought a player to the team that was worth the price of admission to watch every day. His speed and globe combined with his bat bring a bright future for the Friars.
4. If Guzman had more time he'd get this one as well. But Cory Luebke might have been the most consistent pitcher on the staff all year, pitching himself into the rotation from long relief in his first full season.
2) Jesus G.
3) Cameron M.
4) Cory L.
2) Got to give the edge to Headley since he had 134 more at bats than Guzman.

I was debating between Headley and Guzman for best hitter. But Guzman had better numbers in less ABs. My ultimate decision maker was RISP AVG. .431 for Jesus, .288 for Chase
Adams (before being traded)
Who was the best Padres hitter in 2011?
Guzman
Who was your favorite new Padre in 2011?
Maybin
Who was the best Padres rookie in 2011?
I guess when it comes to actually rookies, I'd say either Parrino (made some amazing defense plays) or Logan (showed a lot of fight and could be a really solid player)

I would also like to add that Maybin was probably my favorite addition to the team. I felt like he was someone that I always looked forward to seeing what he would do next. I'm hoping for a contract extension on him soon
