“Hot Stove, Warm Hearts” - Padres’ Fans Give Back During the Holidays
When:Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 6pm-8pm
Where: Tilted Kilt in downtown San Diego at 310 10th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101
What: Padres fans are some of the most generous people I am privileged to know (you have to be if you’re absolutely loyal to this team, right?) and the holidays are the perfect time to spread that love. We are so ex cited to present “Hot Stove, Warm Hearts,” an inaugural Friarhood charity event that combines all our favorite things — baseball, beer, street tacos, and of course, several worthy causes.
Please come by to talk baseball (In person! It’s true; the Friarhood exists in a world beyond Facebook, Twitter and comment boards.) and take advantage of free food and drink specials at everyone’s favorite establishment just outside the right field
gate, the Tilted Kilt. Your donation to Toys for Tots is not only appreciated more than you know, but comes with a taco. Right on!
We will also be providing cards so that you can use the opportunity to write letters to military members through the organization A Million Thanks. You will also have a chance to purchase raffle tickets to win Padres memorabilia, with proceeds dedicated to helping “adopt” a family in need for the holidays through the Armed Services YMCA. Just like the Padres support our military heroes in so many ways, we are honored to do our part to contribute to these exceptional men and women and the programs they support.

This late July weekday series saw a bit of disappointment for the hometown team, having lost the first two games against the upstart Diamondbacks of Arizona. But the stellar play throughout the series by Jesus Guzman was one of the few bright spots shown by the Padres. Anther was seeing closer Heat Bell get the opportunity to reach 30 saves for the third straight year for the team of his youth.
Bell closed out the final game of the series in his only appearance, allowing one hit before an inning-ending double-play for his 30th save in 32 tries. The Padres will host the Rockies for the last series before the July 31st trade deadline that has Bell, Mike Adams, Ryan Ludwick and others rumored to be switching uniforms by weeks end.

 We have partnered with Henry's Pub in downtown to bring you what will be a fantastic event. As with every Friarhood event, the goal is to bring Padres fans together and have a great time! Come join us as we take over Henry's Pub and cheer the Padres to victory against the DBacks.

Henry's will have Happy Hour Specials throughout the game for Friarhood members.

Join us 7pm on 4/29 at Henry's Pub to cheer the Padres on, as they face the Dodgers. We are excited to announce a Friarhood Meet Up of epic proportions. We have partnered with Henry's Pub in downtown to bring you what will be a fantastic event.
