In 2010 we raised over $5,000 for the Williams Syndrome Association through our charity bowling event/auction “Pick Up 2010”. In 2011 we will once again host the bowling event and with your help we plan on sponsoring a Miracle League baseball team. We are asking the Friarhood community to help out and donate $5, $10, $50 or more, every dollar will have an impact on the lives of special needs children.
Miracle League We accomplish this through America’s favorite pastime — baseball, providing an opportunity for children with disabilities to play baseball as part of a team in an organized league. But it’s really so much more… The benefits of participating in the Miracle League extend beyond the baseball field and impact everyone involved — players, parents, sponsors, coaches, buddies, volunteers and fans. Miracle League Tax ID: 20-2669967 Williams Syndrome Association Williams Syndrome is a genetic disorder that is present at birth and can affect anyone. It is characterized by medical problems, including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning disabilities. These occur side by side with striking verbal abilities, highly social personalities and an affinity for music.
