Kevin Quackenbush – RP: 1.2 IP, 0H, 0R, 3K (S, 4)
Notes: The Chihuahuas snapped a 4 game losing streak tonight due to a 3-run home run from Cody Decker and a strong effort from the bullpen. Kevin Quackenbush in particular had a very strong game. Quackenbush struck out 3 and recorded his 4th save of the year while lowering his ERA to 1.86.
San Antonio Missions: Postponed (Rain)
Lake Elsinore Storm 3, Modesto Nuts 1
Alberth Martinez – CF: 2-3, BB, K, Run scored
Corey Adamson – DH: 0-3, BB
Hunter Renfroe –RF: 2-4, HR(5), 3RBI, K, Run scored
Gabriel Quintana – 3B: 0-3, K
Casey McElroy – 2B: 0-3
Luis Domoromo – LF: 0-3, K
Zach Eflin – SP: 5.2 IP, 8H, ER, 0BB, 4K (W, 3-1)
Notes: Hunter Renfroe provided all the offense for the Storm in this one with a 3-run, 2 out home run. Renfroe has been mashing at the plate recently. Over his last 6 games he’s hit 3 home runs and driven 12 runs. Renfroe might swing and miss too frequently – he’s struck out in each of his last 6 games – but, there’s no question that he has big time power. It was another good start for Zach Eflin tonight as he went 5.2 innings and only allowed 1 run. Eflin is one of the most consistent pitchers in the system, and in the California League that’s no easy task.
Fort Wayne TinCaps 15, Peoria Chiefs 10
Mallex Smith – CF: 4-6, 2B, 2 3B, 3RBI, 3 Runs scored
Josh VanMeter – 2B: 2-5, 2B, 2RBI, BB, 2K, Run scored

Fernando Perez – 1B: 2-4, 2B, BB, 3 Runs scored
Ronnie Richardson – LF: 3-4, 3B, 4RBI, 3 Runs scored
Justin Livengood – SP: 2.2 IP, 3H, 4ER, 2BB, 4K
Notes: The TinCaps won quite the shootout. Every single member of the lineup had at least 1 hit and all but 1 member of the lineup scored at least 1 run. Mallex Smith and Ronnie Richardson had particularly good games; Smith fell a home run shy of the cycle and drove in 3 while Richardson drove in 4. Both players scored 3 runs.
