The Missions were the only team to get a win tonight in the Padres organization. The Storm lost a close one as they allowed 4 runs over the 8th and 9th innings. Fort Wayne was blown out.

Notes: Yeison Asencio enjoyed his best game of the season with 3-hit effort tonight. Asencio has endured a slow start as he is only hitting .148 following this game. Jace Peterson had multiple hits for the first time since April 15th. He’s cooled a little since his hot start, but his average still stands strong at .311.

Notes: Following a night in which he hit a home run, Hunter Renfroe struck out 3 times. Renfroe has struck out way too much this year – he now has 31 strikeouts over 77 AB’s, but he’s also driven in a ton of runs. His 2-RBI game tonight brought his RBI total up to 22. He’s driven in 17 runs over his last 9 games. Trevor Gott suffered his first blown save of the year. He had been 5-5 in save opportunities with a 1.04 ERA.

Notes: It was a bad game all around for the TinCaps. The offense only produced 2 runs on 4 hits, the defense committed 3 errors, and the pitching allowed 9 runs. Franchy Cordero committed his 10th error on the year and Dustin Peterson committed his 9th error of the year.
