Daily Farm Round-Up: 4-24-13

San Antonio won off the strength of the right arm of Matt Andriese. The righty was dominant again tonight; his 6 scoreless innings lowered his ERA to 0.86. Frank Garces struggled as the Storm lost to the JetHawks. 2012 1st round draft pick, Walker Weickel performed well in his 3rd start of the season as the TinCaps won their 10th game of the season. The T-Pads had the day off.

He’s hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games. Matt Lollis has now thrown 11.2 innings without allowing an earned run; he has 15 strikeouts over that span.

Notes:  Walker Weickel continues to impress. Over his last 2 starts he’s thrown 7.1 innings while allowing just 5 hits while striking out 6. He has not collected a victory or a loss this year and his ERA stands at 3.27. Mallex Smith continues to hit the ball with authority; he collected his 3rd 3-hit game over his last 4 games and is hitting .344 on the year. Over his last 6 games he has collected 13 hits. Fort Wayne reached double digit victories; their record is 10-8 so far this season.
