The farm system went 2-2 tonight. The Storm’s offense was on fire as they blew out the 66ers. The Missions offense was silent yet again as San Antonio lost by 7 runs.

Notes: The Padres have a new organizational home run leader and his name is Kyle Blanks. Blanks has 4 home runs over his last 10 games and he is hitting .270 on the year. Tommy Medica hit his first home run with the Chihuahuas, a 3-run shot in the 3rd inning.

Notes: The Missions managed to break a 3 game scoreless streak, but they still only managed to score 2 runs. As a team the Missions are hitting .203. Austin Hedges broke a 3 game hitless streak and raised his average to .225 which ranks among the leaders for the Missions.

Notes: There aren’t enough good things to say about the Storm’s offense tonight, every single member of the lineup got at least 1 hit. The Storm had 18 hits collectively, 8 of which went for extra bases. 5 Storm players had multi RBI nights. Combine the stellar offensive performance with a quality start from Ruben Mejia and you get a blowout.

Notes: Not a solid game all around for the TinCaps. They managed to push a run across in the 9th inning to make it close, but in the end they only had 1 run on 4 hits with 2 errors. Adrian De Horta tossed his longest start of the year; he lowered his ERA to 4.74.
