The Chihuahuas, Missions, and Storm all won close games tonight. Led by starter Jason Lane, the Chihuahuas managed to shutout the Aces while Jace Peterson and Alberth Martinez led the Missions and the Storm to victory, respectively.

Notes: Travis Buck was the offensive hero in this one. Buck drove in the only 2 runs in this game with 2 singles. Jason Lane pitched a gem with 6 scoreless innings. Lane was pounding the strike zone in this game; he threw 50 of his 69 pitches for strikes. Interestingly enough, however, Lane didn’t record a single strikeout over his 6 innings pitched.

Notes: Jace Peterson stayed red hot at the plate in the Missions’ victory tonight. Peterson reached base 4 times, twice via base hit and twice via walk. Peterson knocked in his 4th RBI and is hitting .600 over the season’s first 3 games. Kyle Gaedele came to play in his first start; he went 2-4 and started the scoring off with a 2-run home run in the first inning.

The Storm used a 4 run 2 out rally in the 8th inning to win this game, and Trevor Gott recorded the save after allowing an unearned run.
