Daily Farm Round-Up: 5-10-13
Justin Hancock threw 7 scoreless innings as Fort Wayne beat the Loons 6-2. Despite an absolutely stellar performance from catcher Robert Kral, the Storm lost a shootout to the JetHawks 14-12. Robbie Erlin continues to be effective for the T-Pads as Tucson wins by the same score as Fort Wayne: 6-2. The Missions had the day off.

Notes: Robert Kral had an absolutely monster night offensively. Best of all, both of his doubles and one of his home runs came off of the rehabbing Zack Greinke. He has quietly been a very solid contributor for Lake Elsinore; he’s hitting .348 with 6 home runs and 17 RBI on the year. Yeison Asencio collected 3 hits for the 3rd night in a row; he has been very hot as he rides a 5 game hitting streak with 12 hits over that span.

Justin Hancock-SP: 7.0 IP, 7H, 0ER, 0BB, 4K
Notes: Justin Hancock dominated as he threw his 3rd straight quality start in a row. Aside from a rough start on April 13th, Hancock has thrown 29.2 innings and only allowed 2 runs. After going hitless in 4 straight games, Alberth Martinez is on a modest two game hitting streak; he has collected extra base hits in both games which is hopefully a sign of things to come.
