The Chihuahuas blew out the Isotopes due to a strong pitching performance from Juan Pablo Oramas and 2 home runs from Brooks Conrad. The Missions won a tight, 1-run game while the Storm found themselves on the wrong side of a 4-2 outcome.

Notes: Make it two quality starts in a row for Juan Pablo Oramas. This was Oramas’ first scoreless start of the year. Over his last two starts, Oramas has tossed 12.1 innings with only 3 runs allowed and 15 strikeouts. Tommy Medica went hitless for the first time since May 3rd which broke a 6 game hitting streak.

Notes: This game was quite possibly the worst defensive game of the year. The two teams combined for 8 errors (San Antonio committed 3 of them) which allowed  both teams to score 3 unearned runs. Despite being outhit 7-4 with RISP, the Missions got more runs on the board thanks to a go-ahead, RBI sac bunt from Bridger Hunt in the top of the 9th.

Notes: Joe Ross turned in another good start today. All 8 of Ross’ starts have gone at least 5 innings, and he has been much better at recording strikeouts this year as he has K’d 41 batters over 43.2 innings pitched. Overall, Ross is 3-2 on the year with a 2.58 ERA.
