Every team in the Padres organization won tonight. The Storm won in Padre-like fashion; the 66ers had over three times as many hits as they did, but the Storm still scored the 1 run victory.

Notes: After a slow start with the Chihuahuas, Jace Peterson has picked up the pace over the past couple of days as he has raised average to .278 and drove in his first 4 runs in a Chihuahua uniform. Jeff Francoeur hasn’t hit particularly well so far this year, but he’s hit safely in 8 of his last 10 games, boasting a .324 average over that time.

Notes: Jake Lemmerman hit his 2nd grand slam of the year (the first was with the Chihuahuas) and his first home run with the Missions. Austin Hedges has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games raising his average to a solid .274. Lee Orr has homered twice over his last 3 days raising his home run total to 5.

Notes: Despite being outhit 14-4 the Storm managed to pull off the 4-3 victory in 12 innings. The Storm benefitted from another strong start from right hander Zach Eflin who threw his 6th start this year in which he allowed 1 run or less.

Notes: Mallex Smith has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games. Smith is hitting .405 over that span and has raised his average to .279. Josh VanMeter has had a trying season so far. VanMeter is hitting .216 over 125 AB’s, but after hitting his first home run of the season tonight he could start to get hot.
