It was a great night in the Padres organization as all 3 minor league teams that played earned victories. The Chihuahuas dominated the Cubs by a score of 14-2 while the Storm and TinCaps both won closer games.

Notes: Rymer Liriano stayed hot at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance last night. Over his last 10 games, Liriano is hitting .359 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI’s, which has brought his average up to .278 on the year. Melvin Upton Jr. broke a 3 game hitless streak; he is 6-for-24 over his first 7 games with El Paso. Alex Dickerson fell a triple shy of the cycle last night, but raised his average up to .314 over 140 AB’s with El Paso.

Since being drafted 3rd overall in 2009, Tate has been largely disappointing throughout his minor league career.
