Donn Roach-SP: 6.0 IP, 10H, 5ER, BB, 4K, HR Allowed

Matt Stites-RP: 1.0 IP, 0H, 0R, 2K

Notes: Donn Roach continues to display inconsistencies that have plagued throughout much of this season. Over his last 10 starts, Roach has allowed 10 hits 4 times. When he’s not allowing 10 hits a start, he’s throwing quality starts and shutting lineups down. After 13 starts, Roach owns a 4.52 ERA. In a game where the Missions only scratched across 5 hits as a whole, Reymond Fuentes collected 3 hits for the second consecutive night. Fuentes has been a rock this season for the Missions; he has avoided any major slumps while maintaining a batting average above .300. The 3-hit effort tonight raised his average to .329 over 234 AB’s.

Trevor Holder-SP: 5.0 IP, 6H, 3ER, 2BB, 5K

Notes: Travis Jankowski has been on a tear recently; with his multi-hit effort tonight, he’s hit safely in 8 of his last 9 games. He’s hitting .410 over his last 10 games (7 multi-hit games over that span) and he has raised his average to .285 on the year. Similarly, Jace Peterson’s average continues to climb; he’s hit safely in 8 of his last 10 games and is hitting .288 on the year.

Fort Wayne TinCaps 7, Lake County Captains 4

Zach Eflin-SP: 6.0 IP, 7H, 3R, ER, 2BB, 5K (W, 3-4)

Notes: Zach Eflin continues to be the most consistent starter out of the starting pitching trio of 2012 1st round draft picks (Max Fried, Eflin, and Walker Weickel). Eflin recorded his 8th straight start in which he allowed 2 earned runs or less. His ERA stands at 3.42 over 55.1 innings pitched. He’s allowed just 1 home run all year.
