Matt Wisler and James Needy both turned in excellent starts as the Chihuahuas and the Missions both enjoyed 3-run victories.

Notes: Matt Wisler got it done at the plate and on the mound tonight. Wisler endured a terrible start to his Chihuahuas career, but he seems to have righted the ship. 4 of Wisler’s last 5 starts have been quality starts and he is 4-1 over that span. After a rough April, Jeff Francoeur has been tearing the cover off the ball. Francoeur hit .348 in May and is hitting .333 in June.

Notes: Casey McElroy was the offensive hero tonight as his 3-run home run in the 8th inning propelled the Missions to victory. In the month of June, McElroy is hitting .353 with 2 home runs and 10 RBI’s over 51 AB’s. James Needy has had a fantastic season with the Missions; over 13 games and 12 starts Needy is 4-3 with a 2.48 ERA. Over his last 55.1 innings pitched, Needy owns a 1.79 ERA.
