The Chihuahuas split the double-header with the Rainiers while Storm and Emeralds win close games. Both the TinCaps and AZL Padres lost by 4.

Notes: Both games in the double-header featured lots of offense as the Chihuahuas split the day with the Rainiers. Matt Wisler endured his worst start since May 21st. Ironically, Wisler set a Chihuahuas career high with 7 earned run, but didn’t allow a walk for the first time since May 16th. Chris Nelson struggled to start off his Chihuahuas career, but his fortune may be turning around as he hit a grand slam in game 2 of the double header giving him 9 RBI’s in 9 games with the Chihuahuas.

Notes: Futures Game selection Tayron Guerrero enjoyed his 4th straight scoreless performance in a row to start off his Lake Elsinore career. Prior to being called up, Guerrero dominated with the TinCaps; he recorded a 1.00 ERA over 36 innings pitched and punched out 42 over that span.

Notes: Jake Bauers ended a brief 2 game hitless streak with a couple of singles tonight to raise his average back up to .366. Ronnie Richardson enjoyed a perfect night at the plate as he reached base 4 times in 4 AB’s. Richardson is hitting .333 over his last 10 games and .280 on the year.

Notes: Both teams only managed to get 4 hits tonight, but it was the Ems who prevailed on a walk-off walk from Marcus Davis to win the game. The Volcanoes went 0-for-2 with RISP whereas the Emeralds didn’t record an official AB with RISP. Adrian De Horta, who struggled with Fort Wayne earlier this season, enjoyed his best start with the Emeralds.
