The Missions were the only team in the organization to get a win today. San Antonio was led by a fantastic pitching performance from Juan Pablo Oramas and a solid day at the plate from Rymer Liriano.

Notes: Keyvius Sampson has hit a major rough patch; over his last 4 starts, Sampson has tossed 16.2 innings and has allowed 24 earned runs. Sampson’s ERA went up to 6.71 over 55 innings pitched after this game. Following his 3-hit game, Jake Goebbert is riding an 8 game hitting streak. Goebbert hasn’t flashed a lot of pop since joining the Chihuahuas, but he’s done well at the plate. Goebbert is hitting .273 over his first 19 games with the Chihuahuas.

Notes: Juan Pablo Oramas excelled in his first start with the Missions after being sent down from El Paso. Oramas owned a 6.33 ERA over 48.1 innings pitched with the Chihuahuas prior to being sent down. After a rough finish to the month of May, Rymer Liriano has managed to string some hits together. Liriano is now on a modest 3 game hitting streak after going 4 straight games without a hit.

Notes: The Storm only managed to score 1 run due to their 1-for-7 mark with RISP. After going hitless for 4 straight games, Jeremy Baltz has managed to hit safely in each of his last 2 games. It’s been a trying season so far for Baltz who is hitting .214 with 0 home runs and 6 RBI over 84 AB’s.
