The Chihuahuas swept a double-header due to a monster performance from Tommy Medica. The Missions enjoyed a great pitching performance from James Needy while every other farm team played in a 1 run game.

Notes: Tommy Medica had an incredible day at the plate. Over the two games, Medica hit 2 home runs and drove in a whopping 7 runs. Medica has been red hot at the plate as he is hitting .457 over his last 10 games. Colin Rea enjoyed his strongest start with El Paso and he notched his first win after tossing 5.2 solid innings.

Notes: James Needy has won all 3 of his starts with the Missions since being sent down. Needy was especially dominant in this game as he tossed the second complete game of his career. Hunter Renfroe continued to swing a hot bat; he’s hitting .405 with only 6 strikeouts over his last 10 games. Renfroe has gotten stronger as the season has progressed; he hit .184 in April, .255 in May, .286 in June, and .381 over 63 July AB’s.
