Two different minor leaguers, Cody Decker and Rico Noel, fell a hit shy of the cycle. Tucson won both games of a double header against the Bees, while both Lake Elsinore and Fort Wayne allowed 8 runs in their respective losses. Hunter Renfroe led the Emeralds to a 9-8 victory.

Notes: The T-Pads swept the double-header by a combined 5 runs. Dean Anna was the offensive hero of the first game as he went 4-4. Cody Decker claimed that distinction in the second game when he fell just a double shy of the cycle. Kevin Quackenbush turned in his 4th straight scoreless outing. Quackenbush has lowered his ERA to 4.12 with the T-Pads. With the two wins tonight, Tucson improved their record to 57-52.

Spangenberg hasn’t been great since joining San Antonio; he is hitting .241 over 158 AB’s with 4 total extra base-hits and 13 RBI.

Bryan Rodriguez followed up his best start of the season (7 scoreless innings) with his second best start of the season.
