Cody Decker hit two home runs tonight, giving him 3 over his last 2 games. Decker also enjoyed a 3-RBI night for the 3rd time in the past 5 days. Decker has 12 RBI’s over his last 5 games.

San Antonio Missions 2, Springfield Drillers 1

Notes: Cory Spangenberg has smacked multiple hits, and scored a run in each of his last 4 games. Spangenberg is hitting .338 with San Antonio over 17 games. Austin Hedges hasn’t been great with the bat this year at pitcher friendly San Antonio, but he is hitting .282 over his last 10 games as opposed to .249 overall.

Notes: Trae Turner has now gone 4 straight games without a hit. Turner is hitting .162 over his last 10 games and .213 over his first 19 games. In other words, it hasn’t been a promising start for the Padres’ first round draft pick. Franchy Cordero homered for the 3rd time in 5 days. Cordero seems to finally be finding his stroke after struggling all year up to this point.
