The Chihuahuas were the only team in the entire Padres organization to earn a victory tonight. The Storm and the TinCaps both lost disappointing games; both teams took the lead in the 9th inning, only to lose in walk-off fashion.

For the first time since June 11th, Billy Buckner was able to last more than 3 innings in a single start. Buckner is coming off of a rough June that say him go 1-1 with a 7.80 ERA over 4 starts.

Cordero has brought his average up to .291 with the Emeralds as it looks like he has finally found his stroke.

Notes: There was really nothing positive in this game for the AZL Padres as they endured a good old-fashioned butt whuppin. The Padres only managed 1 run on 4 hits and committed 2 errors, they went 0-for-7 with RISP, not to mention the fact that they allowed 17 runs…
