The majority of the farm system had the night off as only Tucson and Lake Elsinore participated in games tonight. Led by 4 hits from Yonder Alonso and a grand slam from Brandon Allen, the T-Pads won 11-5. Lake Elsinore was shutout for the second time in 3 nights.

Notes: Yonder Alonso got a base hit every time he stepped to the plate tonight. In 7 AB’s with Tucson, Alonso has not struck out once. For the first time as a member of the T-Pads, Burch Smith failed to go 5 innings and allowed more than 2 runs. Smith’s ERA rose from 2.57 to 3.13.

Notes: The San Jose pitching staff had Lake Elsinore’s number throughout their series. Not only were the Storm swept, but they also scored just 1 run over the entire 3 game set. Frank Garces rebounded nicely from a start that saw him allow 6 runs in 5 innings. Garces’ strikeout numbers have been down recently as he has struck out 6 batters over his last 3 starts, however, Garces has fanned 88 batters over 82.1 innings this year.
