The Tucson Padres dominated offensively while James Needy led the Storm to a 5-3 victory against the Modesto Nuts. Maxx Tissenbaum enjoyed a career game as the TinCaps won 7-4. San Antonio and Eugene both struggled offensively in their respective losses.

Notes: Keyvius Sampson had a decent start in this game for the T-Pads. He had walked 12 batters combined in his previous 2 starts, and he only walked 2 in this start. The T-Pads offense enjoyed a strong showing; Kyle Blanks went 1-3 in his first rehab start, and every member of the starting lineup, including Keyvius Sampson, had at least 1 hit.

Notes: The Missions’ offense was completely shutdown in this game. Hooks starter Luis Cruz threw a complete game shutout while allowing only 2 hits and collecting 14 strikeouts. Cory Spangenberg was one of the members of the Missions to collect a hit; the hit extended his hitting streak to 8.

Notes: Maxx Tissenbaum enjoyed one of his best games as he reached base following all 4 of his plate appearances while driving in 4 runs. Tissenbaum now has 78 RBI over his last 4 games. Hunter Renfroe hasn’t hit safely in consecutive games since August 16th. However, he continued to show his knack for getting extra-base hits; with his double tonight, 6 of his 10 hits with Fort Wayne have gone for extra bases.

Donavan Tate broke a 2 game hitless streak with a single in this game. Tate boasts a low average at .226 and he has struck out far too much, 19 times over 53 AB’s.
