In a tight pitcher’s duel between Matt Harrison and Keyvius Sampson, the Missions prevailed 1-0 due to an RBI from Austin Hedges. Led by Lee Orr, the Storm blew out the 66ers 12-2. The TinCaps split a double-header while Hunter Renfroe recorded 3 hits in the Emeralds’ 6-1 victory.

Notes: Austin Hedges had his first hit and RBI as a member of the Missions. His RBI was the only RBI of the entire game, and to make it even sweeter, the hit and RBI came off of Rangers starter Matt Harrison. There are no words to describe the level of dominance Keyvius Sampson has been achieving recently. Over his last 4 starts, Sampson is 4-0 and has thrown 26 innings with 1 earned run. Over his last 10 starts he is 6-0 with a 1.24 ERA and 69 strikeouts over 58 innings.

In contrast, Joe Ross has now thrown 4 consecutive starts with at least 5 innings pitched and 2 earned runs or less.

After being used primarily as a reliever, Coby Cowgill has made 2 starts with Eugene this year. Over those 2 starts Cowgill has thrown 10 innings while allowing just 1 earned run with 14 strikeouts.
