The Missions are now the only Padre minor league affiliate that is playing in the postseason. The Missions won their first game against the Travelers as Matt Wisler pitched 6.2 scoreless innings and Austin Hedges drove in the game’s only run.

Notes: The Missions have won game 1 due to an outstanding effort from Matthew Wisler and a clutch, 2- out RBI from Austin Hedges. Matthew Wisler has been arguably the most impressive Padres pitching prospect this season; he was 10-6 with a 2.78 ERA over 26 regular season starts and is 1-0 with a 0.69 ERA over 2 postseason starts.
