Notes: The Storm lost a heartbreaker in 13 innings and are now eliminated from the playoffs. The Storm were winning 3-1 going into the 8th inning, but the 66ers rallied and brought the game to extras. In the 13th, the Storm scored a run to make it 4-3, but the bullpen struggled again as the 66ers scored 2 runs to walk off. Alberth Martinez fell a home run shy of the cycle while Elliot Morris pitched a quality start.

Fort Wayne TinCaps 1, West Michigan Whitecaps 2

Trea Turner – SS: 0-4, 2K

Franmil Reyes – RF: 0-4, 4K

Colby Blueberg – RP: 2.0 IP, 3H, 1ER, 0BB, 3K (L, 0-1)

Notes: Just like the Storm, the TinCaps bullpen was unable to preserve a 1-1 tie as the TinCaps ended up losing a pitcher’s duel. The TinCap offense went 0-for-3 with RISP, and their only run came off a solo shot from Nick Schulz. Coby Hebner, who had a subpar regular season with Fort Wayne, pitched his tail off tonight.
