Offense has been hard to come by for both teams; the Missions and Hooks have scored a combined 5 runs over the first two games of this series.
Fort Wayne TinCaps 9, Bowling Green Hot Rods 5

Alberth Martinez-CF: 2-5, RBI, 2K, Run scored

Zach Eflin-SP: 6.0 IP, 5H, 3R, 2ER, BB, 5K (W, 1-0)
Notes: Fort Wayne swept the Hot Rods in the best of 3 series with a win tonight. Zach Eflin’s performance tonight mirrored everything he’s done all year throughout the regular season. Eflin has gone at least 5 innings with 2 or less earned runs in every single one of his starts since April. Out of the Padres’ top 3 pitching draft picks in 2012 (Max Fried, Zach Eflin, Walker Weickel) Eflin has arguably been the most impressive. Offensively, every single TinCap had at least 1 hit tonight, 7 different TinCaps had an RBI, and 8 different TinCaps scored at least 1 run.
