With no games played yesterday MLB had to have at least one headline to keep the fans intrigued. Well they got it with a trade and a new hire. Let’s start with the hiring. It should come as no surprise that the Red Sox would let Bobby Valentine go and would be in search of a new manager. John Farrell, who managed the Blue Jays, will be the new Red Sox manager. It is a trade in that players are being involved as well. The Sox have sent Mike Aviles over to the Jays as part of compensation. The other news is that Heath Bell has been traded to the DBacks. The DBacks also recieved Cliff Pennington, and the Marlins get Yordy Cabrera from the A’s and the A’s will get Chris Young from the DBacks. Okay did you catch all that? I will include a link below if you are interested. The Padres haven’t made any splashes, but according to the UT, there could be some announcements soon. All that is detailed below:
