Daily Friar 1.2.12

There has been a lot of speculating going on as to what the Padres will do next with the team. They have an abundance of outfielders as well as a few quality first basemen that will be vying for playing time. I do expect quite a few more moves before we head into spring training. Pitchers and catchers report February 19, so there is still some time to get things sorted out. All in all though I am excited for this upcoming season. I love what Byrnes is doing and the philosophy he is taking. Here are your links for today:

“The Padres already have discussed signing center fielder Cameron Maybin to a contract that would include the first one or two seasons of his potential free agency.”
