Daily Friar 2.10.13

Daily Friar Banner Rennick

As some of you may have seen, there was no Daily Friar yesterday. I wish that I could say that it was due to the fact that I was running around Petco Park during FanFest, but that was not the case. I was all set to go down there, but at the last minute I had a family matter come up that I couldn’t escape from. After seeing the pictures pop up on twitter I was pretty bummed out. For those that went I hope you had fun and were able to meet some players and take in the atmosphere. Now that we are past this point it is on to Spring Training. This year I am planning on going out the weekend of March 15th, but of course we will see what happens between now and then. In today’s piece I have one article that talks a little about FanFest, but I am hoping within the next couple of days that someone who went will write something about their experience. So here are your links for today:

“The other reason why I’m curious about Grandal’s 2013 campaign, obviously, is how he rebounds from this whole ordeal.”

An interview with Ron Fowler – Gaslamp Ball

“If Chase wants to be here then hopefully we’ll get something done.” “We made an offer that would make him – we think it was a really fair offer.”
