Daily Friar 2.26.12 

In one week the Padres play their first spring training game! Take a moment for that to sink in. Live baseball is just around the corner. As always the first game will be against their Peoria Sports Complex companions, the Seattle Mariners. It will be nice to see the team come together and put the bat on the ball (we hope). In other quick news, it’s been tossed around that Carlos Quentin will mostly hit clean up. Also Chris Denorfia is taking some time to rest a stiff lower back.
