Daily Friar 3.2.13

Daily Friar Banner Rennick

Whenever the Padres face the Dodgers it’s always nice to win. No matter what time of the year it is. One team could be way out of contention and the other could be making a push, but one thing is constant: it is always nice to beat the Dodgers. Yesterday the two teams faced each other and the Padres won. Even though it is spring training it felt good to win. What made it even sweeter was the fact that the Padres beat up on Zack Greinke to do it. Remember that this was one of the Dodgers biggest pickups over the offseason. That’s saying a lot since they spent so much money on so many players. But as far as impact goes Greinke is supposed to be one of their biggest. Again, I know it is only spring, but to beat up on one of their top acquisitions is awesome! I don’t want to give away too many details, so let’s let the articles do the talking:

Fox Sports San Diego Tour – Gaslamp Ball

“On to the main area of the set. Before we get to the picture, one thing to note is that this set will only be used for road games. Pomeranz and Sweeney aren’t going on the road trips anymore and instead will be here in San Diego at the studio.”

Robert Moreno’s 2013 NL West predictions – Chicken Friars

“Expect a tight divisional race this season with the divisional crown coming down to the wire. Their should be a lot of parity in the division and a whole lot of memorable moments. I believe the National League West will be the tightest division in baseball.”
