The Padres are in a very interesting, but good, situation at the catching position. In past years the catcher has been a revolving door. Not until recently with Nick Hundley have we actually had some foundation at catcher. He has a new contract extension, which I personally think is well deserved. The problem we have though is the two guys in the minors that want Nick’s spot. I’m talking about Yasmani Grandal and Austin Hedges. Both are highly regarded as top proespects in the league. So I am waiting to see if either of them is used as trade bait or what will happen to them. Anyways, here are your Padres links for today:
