When I was younger I used to spend my nights watching ESPN to catch up on what happened in the sporting world. Now as I’ve grown older, I have also grown to hate ESPN and their biased telecast. For instance, yesterday all they could talk about was golden boy Yu Darvish and how awesome he is. They also failed to mention Venable’s ringing double high off the center field wall, as well as Hudson’s double. The guy wasn’t perfect. I have a feeling this guy is going to get annoying and worn out a la Tim Tebow. Anyways here are your Padres links for today:

Cory Luebke is strong against the Reds –
“During his first spring outing, Luebke gave up one hit and one walk with four strikeouts. He erased both of his baserunners with pickoff plays.”

Jeff Suppan threw a couple shut out innings in loss to Rangers –
“The Padres (0-4) got double from Orlando Hudson in the first inning off Darvish. One inning later, Will Venable doubled high off the wall in center field. Venable was later erased on the bases when Darvish made a nice play on a comebacker, throwing home to get Venable out in a rundown.”
