Daily Friar 5.1.12
The Padres were up to their normal antics last night. Terrible defense and lackluster offense once again. For example, runners on 2nd and 3rd nobody out and no one is able to come home. Next example: runners on 1st and 3rd nobody out, double play one run in. Not very productive offense at all. Not to mention we had roid rage run rampant on us last night. Ryan Braun went 4-5 with 3 HRs and a triple and 6 RBIs. Yes he accounted for 6 of the 8 Brewer runs. Take him out of the lineup and we probably still would have lost, but may have had a better chance. Here are your Padres links for today:

“Beemer Weems has been ranked as the Padres’ best defensive infielder for the last two seasons. It has never been a question as whether or not he had the ability to play the position at the major league level. The big question is could he hit enough to justify a team putting his plus glove in the lineup.”
