It’s crazy really the trend that the Padres are on right now. If the pitching is phenomenal and only gives up two runs, the offense gets shut out. But if the offense is on fire for the one day a week, then the pitching falters and gives up a ton of runs. Such was the case yesterday. The Padres exploded for runs, much like the first game in New York. But unlike the first game in New York, the pitching couldn’t hold the lead and the Padres lost to the Cubs (who were on a 12 game losing streak).
