Last night was the Padres team that I wanted to see all season. Down 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning it looked all but over. But a little rally and some RISP hitting and we put up a six spot to take a commanding lead. And who would have thought that with the bases loaded the tying run would come in with Carlos Quentin not making contact with the ball. Instead he got hit by a pitch. It was the Little Engine That Could, Alexi Amarista that delivered the grand slam to blow things open. It was a thing of beauty. Off to face the Rockies next, where if we can win the series or sweep, we can come out of the cellar. Let’s all hope. Here are your Padres links for today:
