Daily Friar 7.16.12

Daily Friar Banner Rennick

The Padres are starting their second half campaign on the right foot. We know that the playoffs are essentially out of the question for this club. That is unless they go on a Herculean, Colorado Rockies run and make it in on the last day of the season. So our role now is to play spoliers to the teams that we have grown to hate. The Dodgers were the first to feel this wrath as the Padres took 2 of 3 to start the second half. This has pushed the Dodgers out of first place for the time being. I love beating the Dodgers, but love it when it means more to them and hurts so much more. Next up is the Houston Astros back at Petco Park now that that zombies are no longer running rampant inside.
