It’s always easier to write this after the Padres win. Which is exactly what they did last night after beating up on the Astros. It appears that the Padres are putting the formula to work of getting shut out the first game then pounding the opposing team into the ground after that. Last night’s win came in the form of timely and productive hitting. The team went 5-9 with runners in scoring position. That is a .555 average for the game. This is outstanding and is the level of play that we need to be on in order to become a force to be reckoned with. But these are gawdy numbers and won’t be accomplished all the time, but it is a lot better than 0-12 from the other night. Here are your Padres links for today:
