Ian Kennedy was lights out for the Padres yesterday as they were able to take the final game of the series against the Pirates. The Padres didn’t give him very much breathing room though as the offense again struggled to put runs on the board. This time they only managed two, but Kennedy was able to remain dominant. The Padres left seven men on base and went one for nine with runners in scoring position. It doesn’t help when your number four and five guys go 0 for 8 on the day. Padres have the day off today as the Cubs will come into town this weekend.
