Former Padres first baseman Adrian Gonzalez made his presence known in last night’s game with two 2-run homers in route to a 9-2 Dodgers victory. For the Padres, outfielder Will Venable continued to add to his hit total in August with his 40th of the month. Second baseman Jedd Gyorko racked-up his 22nd double of the season, which ranks third among all rookies. Arizona’s A.J. Pollock leads that category with 25. The series between the Padres and Dodgers continues tonight at 6:10 PT as the Padres will send right-hander Andrew Cashner to the mound to face southpaw Chris Capuano. Make sure to tune-in. Remember, keep calm and #BeatLA.
