Daily Friar 8.20.12

Finally the Padres get to a guy in the rotation that knows how to actually pitch. Instead of throwing batting practice to Giant’s hitters, Clayton Richard shut down their bats in route to a Padres victory yesterday. Just a small victory as it did end our losing streak, but it also gives us momentum going into the Pirates series. The Pirates just finished up a 19 inning game against the Cardinals, so hopefully they will be tired coming into this one and the Padres can get to them early. I would love to see the team get back to their winning ways and win some more series for us. Here are your Padres links for today:
