The Padres are the best team in baseball. Seriously go look it up, it’s a proven fact. Alright, maybe that’s not entirely true, but they sure are taking the role of spoiler to heart. The Pirates will most likely finish about .500 for the first time in forever, but to add something more sweet to that they are trying for a playoff push. After the Padres swept them this past series they have fallen out of the lead of the wild card. The Padres will continue to try and play spoiler in the next series as we take on the Diamondbacks. We’re heading towards September, which means a lot of division foes coming up. The DBacks are only 5.5 games out behind the Giants and Dodgers. So they are hoping for some late life to their season.
