Daily Friar 8.30.12

Daily Friar Banner Rennick

I forgot that yesterday’s game was an afternoon game until I went to turn the TV on at 7 and found out that there was no game to be seen. So I completely missed the fact that our Padres whooped the Braves to win yet another series. This is the 3rd series in a row they have won, and are now 9-1 in their past 10 games. Let’s look at some numbers shall we? In the month of August the Padres are 17-10. They will have one more game tomorrow against the Rockies that could boost that record to 18 wins. Also since the All-Star Break they have a .600 record. If they had been playing to this caliber all season they would be sitting atop the NL West and would be just behind the Reds and Nationals for the best record in baseball. Since the break, the Padres DO have the the best record in baseball. I have a feeling that this team could make it back to .500. Let’s hope September is as good as August! Here are your Padres links for today:
