Fall Ball Update: 10-21-13 

Austin Hedges and the Javelinas didn’t miss a beat after a day off yesterday. Hedges impressed offensively and defensively yet again, while Keyvius Sampson pitched well.




Austin Hedges-C: 1-3, 3B, RBI, BB, K, Run scored

Tommy Medica-DH: 1-4, K




Keyvius Sampson-P: 2.0 IP, 3H, 2R, 0ER, 0BB, K


Notes: Austin Hedges has hit safely in 5 of the 6 games that he’s played with the Javelinas. Hedges has now driven in runs in consecutive games; he’s hitting .364 with 6 RBI over 22 AB’s. Tommy Medica continued to struggle during his time in the AFL. After tonight’s game, he owns a .095 average. Keyvius Sampson hasn’t allowed an earned run over 6 innings pitched with Peoria.
